Overcurrent Relay Prototype for Solar Installation for OEM

Description:  Generally, the solar panels are designed to run very close to their short circuit current. The optimum operating point of a solar panel is typically about 90% of its short circuit current and about 70% to 85% of its open circuit voltage. This small difference in the solar panel between optimum operating point and short circuit current may damage the panel.

To prevent the short circuit while solar installation, National-Infotech has designed an STM32F4 microcontroller-based ‘Overcurrent relay protection card’. The circuit and algorithm are uniquely designed such that it bifurcates the overcurrent and short circuit current. Thus, making the solar installation safe.
